Ranger's Return

I must have hit my writing limit after our long European trip because I've had nothing to say for the last seven weeks.  Consider it your lucky break from my ramblings and writings.

We truly needed a break in our activity level, so we have done very little since returning to Washington state.  I've puttered around the motorhome and completed my list of "to do" items.  So the motorhome is all ready to take off for our travels this year.

Each Fall we pick a theme for our travels going South. One year it  was lighthouses, the next year it was ghost towns and this year it will be "Hot Air Balloons".

We are headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the Balloon Fiesta which goes for 9 days at the beginning of October.  There will be 500 ballons total with 300 being the traditional round shape and 200 that look like cartoon characters and special shapes.  I hope to be a volunteer during the festival.

We head south on Monday.  That gives us three weeks to wander our way there.  As usual we don't have a strong agenda along the way.  Serendipity will be in charge of our lives, it seems to work best for us.  We'll see what we discover along the way.

The good news is I'll be able to write about being lost and other great adventures.

Life is good..... we're ready to hit the road.
