Before we left home we decided that Terri should get a pair of hiking boots. After a couple days of hiking I'm glad we did. I have an old pair of boots and they sure help me with the uneven, muddy and root covered trails. Terri is still breaking in her new boots but she seems happy with them.
We spent the day moving to a new location in the Hoh Rain Forest. After being lazy and sleeping in we got a late start. We stopped and had lunch at a state park in Kalaloch. It has a wonderful view that is overlooking the Pacific.
After lunch we headed up into the rain forest. We had the opportunity to wait for a road crew to let us pass their construction site. Even sitting on the road at a construction site is beautiful if you're in the rain forest.
We're here at the Hard Rain RV Park. It's 78 degrees, sunny and there is no hard rain in sight. The next 4 days will be spent hiking and going back to the ocean beaches which are only 7-8 miles back down the road.
Gotta go. It's time to make dinner.
I think you like waterfalls. You take after your mother. :-)
