I missed the best colors of yesterdays sunrise so this morning I was up before 5:00am to be sure to be ready. Great plan. But someone forgot to tell the photo gods. It was a ho-hum sunrise. I stood with Eva at the end of the peninsula for 45 minutes and nothing great happened this morning.

We decided to make it a "waterfall" day. We drove South on North Carolina's Blue Ridge Parkway today. The weather was cooler than normal so it was perfect for hiking in the Pisgah National Forest.

It was a nice hike into the falls. Eva loves to be out and walking, she is a very obedient dog and is easy to control. She jumped up on this rock when Terri stopped. A little height must help her view.
