We are at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park in Southern Utah for a few days. We have a beautiful lakefront campsite with full hook-ups. It is really a nice change from the last couple of weeks of boondocking and dry camping.
I wish I could post pictures but we are out in the boonies with almost no cellular reception. We have 2 bars of 1x, which is slower than 3G by a whole bunch. Miss that fast 4G on the Verizon Jetpack.
We had a little rain last night but because we dropped several thousand feet of altitude the weather is warmer. No more freezing nights.
We are hoping the trail into the petrified forest is not too slippery. We did a small portion when we got here yesterday and we know it won't be any fun climbing on red mud. We'll wait till afternoon to give it a chance to dry out.
I read a whole James Patterson book yesterday to kill some time. Living without my fast computer is difficult. Poor me, huh? Stunning cliffs on one side and a beautiful lake on the other, live with it Russ. .
Life is good, no complaints allowed
