Take It Easy

"Take It Easy" is what we did today in Winslow, Arizona.  A nice small town that enjoys being the subject of the Eagles first hit song.

Downtown Winslow, Arizona

This mural in the center of town depicts the story in the Eagles song.  You'll have to listen to the song to pickup the details of the mural.  I liked the eagle perched on the window sill.

Terri really likes the Eagles.
The main intersection in town.
We enjoyed our walk around town and through their six block park. The La Pasada Hotel was built in the days when the train station was the center of town.  The lobby of the hotel is still the train station for the Amtrak train that stops in the center of downtown.

All is well with us now that the wind storm is over.  It was sunny and warm today. And did I mention NO WIND.

This old diner could be yours.  A little paint and you would be ready to go.
