How can you be in four different states at one time? Simple, just go to the one place in the United States where the four corners of each state meets. That would be where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah touch their borders in one spot.

Here is the surveyors mark without tourists. |
Four states at once, not bad for five minutes. We are staying on the Ute Tribal Reservation tonight, if the good old USA won't let us on their land we will just switch to another nation who seems to like us. Tomorrow morning we are going to do a tour of the tribal lands before we continue our trek South through New Mexico.
Originally our plans did not include New Mexico but plans had to be adapted to accommodate the shut down. We're happy to add adventure to our adventure.
Here are some photos of the neighborhood.

Tumbleweeds, Barbedwire and Shiprock Mountain.
I like New Mexico. |

A lot of open land down the road. |
We left Moab, Utah this morning and turned left (East) about an hour down the road and entered Colorado. We stopped for lunch in Cortez, Co and then continued South until we reached the Ute Tribal Reservation. After we got settled there we hopped into the Fit and headed for a loop that included Four Corners. Within the next 2 hours we had driven in all four states.
Tomorrow we will be in Gallup, New Mexico. We don't know what's there but we are going to find out. The adventure continues.
Great pics! I especially like the one of Terri at the four corners. :)
