Life is Like a Box of Chocolates

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates....You never know what you're gonna get.

Forest Gump is alive and well in Savannah, as are many other actors who portray their characters around town.  As a trolley stops you never know who will hop on and deliver a short performance of their character.

This lady, Katherine Green the wife of Nathan Green, owned the planation where Ellie Whitney invented the cotton gin.  He used her hair pins in the first prototype.  We've seen a Union soldiers, a Confederate mother and there are more to come.

Forsyth Park, the biggest of the 22 parks in downtown.
This was the view from our park bench as we ate our picnic lunch today.  We enjoyed our PB&J's with classical music.  Micheal was fun to talk with and he has a real talent for music.

Micheal was our personal musician for lunch today.
He graduated from high school last year and is now a very talented street musician.
We walked many miles today.  From cemeteries, to old mansions, to amazing churches and parks.  Here are some photos of the sights we saw.

First Synagogue in America.

St. Johns has amazing windows.

Graveyard for soldiers in our early history.

I would love to hear this pipe organ.
The largest container port on the East Coast.
Oyster shell sidewalks.
Graveyard entrance.

Gold dome.... City Hall.... your tax dollars at work.

Tomorrow we go to the Atlantic.  Life is good and I am tired.
