The morning started with fresh hot baked cinnamon rolls with icing. We washed them down with ice cold milk and we're both happy campers. That was a good start for the morning as the thunder and lightning began. A portion of the storm front must have passed right over us. The thunder almost rolled me out of my chair. Eva didn't like it at all.
After my morning nap I got up and continued cooking. Lunch was hot open faced turkey sandwiches covered with turkey gravy. Perfect for a cold wet day. After eating it was Terri's turn for a nap. She had planned carefully and had not changed out of her PJ's. She was ready.
Terri with her iPad, Eva with her blankie. Both girls are happy. Take note: Terri is still in her PJ's. |
When it was time for dinner I felt like having breakfast so I made pancakes for us. The rain has stopped but it is still blowing out there. Other than dog walks we have not left the RV today.
So long as I'm on a roll I just put a batch of brownies in the oven. In 50 minutes the whole RV will smell great and our bedtime snack will be cooling on the countertop.
Hot brownies.....Life IS good. |
The rain has stopped this evening......Sunshine and wind now. The view to Lake Bastrop out the windshield. |
Pretty windshield view! So, a warm Seattle day equals a stormy Texas one, huh?
ReplyDeleteThe storm in Austin made the local news on tv tonight. They showed big hail. Did you see it?
ReplyDeleteLuckily we have avoided Texas hail a few times already. I hope our luck continues. If the amount of rain we had came as hail we would be dented for sure.
DeleteThe only part of this story that Dave heard was 1.cinnamon rolls 2. pancakes and 3. brownies. All things he never gets and never in one day! You are a lucky man!
