A Nice Walk

What goes down, must come up.
We walked 5.5 miles today.  A portion of that was walking the trail down into the canyon.  Now don't get me wrong, it was not the total two day hike to go down and back up.  It was only a couple miles and that was enough for me and my lungs.  We started at an altitude of 7,100 feet and that means the air is pretty thin.

Terri liked the ledge you see in the first photo, so she climbed out to see what was over the edge.....air.

The fearless lady.
And the trail continues down.
We only went as far as the second tunnel on the Bright Angel Trail.  That was far enough for me.

The rest of our hiking was along the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.  It was a little hazy today so the photos weren't as good as I had hoped for.  But just being here was good enough for us.

8x zoom to see down to the Colorado River.
Even the panorama setting on the camera can't catch it all.

And a dead tree shot as usual.
The old man resting.
A mad elk along the road today.
Don't know what was bothering her but she was ticked about something.
A happy little squirrel.

And to end a shot of our dirt road boondocking spot.  Life is good.
