DC Wrap Up

Washington DC panorama.
The last three days included our last visit into downtown DC, the 4th of July at Patapsco State Park and a Maryland Blue Crabs baseball game.

Visiting the Whitehouse.
We walked 5 miles wrapping up all that we wanted to see on our fourth trip into DC.  It was another warm day in the 90's, I think I'm getting used to the heat.  Here are the photos for the day.

Being a printer I needed to visit the Bureau of Printing.  MONEY!!!

Jefferson Memorial
Franklin Roosevelt Memorial.

M.L. King Jr. Memorial.
The Ranger guys - Grandpa, Matt and Billy.
We had a 4th of July BBQ at our place in Patapsco State Park.  Ribs, corn-on-the-cob, and all the other good stuff made for a great time.

On Sunday Matt and I went to a minor league ball game.  The Maryland Blue Crabs play in a new ball park that is first class.  It was a good game but the Blue Crabs lost to the Texas team, the 'Skeeters.

Great seats, second row behind home plate.
Tomorrow we wrap up our 14 days in Washington DC.  We are going into Baltimore to see Fort McHenry on the harbor today.  The next stop in our wandering will be to Flint, Michigan to visit our grandson Andrew at Kettering University.

Life is good as we keep on wandering.

  1. LOVE the pic of you, Matt, and Billy! Wonderful! Did you go into the Bureau of Printing? That would be a fun place to visit, I think.
