Gone to Bonn

How very European of us!  Baguettes, quiche and tea for our first meal in Bonn.  We are in Bonn for 4 days and just completed our 4.5 mile walking tour of town.  I found a map that showed a route that covered the highlights of the downtown area, so I was Terri's guide for the morning.

We sat and listened to pipe organ music, watched the river activity on the Rhine, listened to street musicians and visited Beethovens Haus.  That's just a small portion of our morning.

Beethoven's Haus.

We had lunch on the Rhine at noon today.  Tomorrow we will hop on a Rhine River Cruise to go exploring for the day.

Hey Terri, what's for lunch today?  "Beer".
This trip to Bonn is our first time using an AirBnB.  What is it?  You rent a room in a private home.  It is all done online, so there are many choices and the information and photos give you a fairly clear picture of where and what you will get.  The best part is the price, it's about half what a hotel room would cost.  And our hosts are very nice people.

Here's their third floor home in the heart of Bonn.  Just 71 steps up and you are there.

The living room.
The kitchen.
The view from the balcony.
We have a nice private bedroom with double bed, desk and two chairs.  It is more comfortable than any of the hotels we have stayed in while in Europe.  The cost.... $39.00 plus a few small fees, a bargain.

I'm trying to figure out how to get ahead in life.
Life is good for this German boy and his German girl.  (Krause & Kritz).
